A Poetic Reflection on Healing and Self-Return
🕯️ “She lit candles and called it hope… then outgrew the walls she once begged to feel safe in.”
🎙️ Late Night with Lola: The Voice Between Timelines
Some stories don’t end with a door slamming shut.
They end in a whisper. A moment of breath. A quiet decision to walk away.
“The Girl Who Lived Here” is a poetic voice drop about release, reclamation, and honoring the version of ourselves we no longer need to carry.
This isn’t a goodbye letter.
It’s a thank you.
To the one who made survival beautiful.
To the one who stayed long enough to break open.

The Girl Who Lived Here
She doesn’t live here anymore.
The girl who cried in that bedroom,
who whispered his name into the pillow
like it would bring him back.
The one who lit candles and called it hope.
Who played songs too loud just to drown out the ache.
She wanted forever here.
But this house…
was only ever meant to be a cocoon.
She outgrew the walls.
Outgrew the version of herself
who thought she had to shrink to be loved.
And now, I’m just here for the boots.
The ones she used to wear
when she still thought love meant staying small.
I don’t need to carry her pain anymore.
But I will carry her courage.
Her heart.
Her wild hope.
Because that girl who lived here…
she walked through fire so I could walk away.
And this…
this is me saying thank you.
Not goodbye.

đź’¬ Reflection
This piece isn’t just about a house.
It’s about the soul-space we all outgrow—the relationship, identity, or belief we once built our lives around.
And the quiet, holy moment when we realize:
We don’t have to carry the pain to carry the legacy.
What version of yourself are you releasing tonight?
What story have you outgrown?
